Nature Journaling

Spark your curiosity, channel your attention, and record your wonder in Overton Park.

Embark on a journey of observation and inquiry with our Nature Journaling workshop. Whether you’re a beginner or looking to deepen your practice, this session will guide you in capturing the beauty of the natural world through writing and art.

Bring your own notebook and writing materials. We will have a limited selection of art supplies and portable seating to share.

Come ready to explore, create, and connect with nature!

Date: Tuesdays in October and November, beginning October 14

Time: 4:30pm

Location: The group will meet at the East Parkway Old Forest Gateway (389 E Parkway N)

Surfaces: We will gently journey into the Old Forest, and walking surfaces may include roads, limestone gravel trails, or natural trails within the Old Forest depending on group considerations and activities.

Overton Park Conservancy is the nonprofit organization that has been caring for Memphis’s central green space since 2012. With the generous support of our community, we work each day to make the park a beautiful and welcoming place for all Memphians, as well as a valuable source of urban habitat for wildlife.

The Conservancy must raise roughly 85% of our budget each year from people like you who care about the many things Overton Park has to offer. A gift of any amount helps us maintain and improve the park.
