Program Options for Adults
Birding Basics
Learn to use binoculars and identify local birds by sound, shape, and color.
Guided Forest Hike
Discover the history and native wildlife of Overton Park on a staff-led walk through the Old Forest.
Nature Journaling
Encourage observation and mindfulness through guided journaling in the forest.
Program Options for Students (Ages 5+)
Bird Blitz
A fun introduction to birding—perfect for young explorers learning to use binoculars and recognize bird features.
Tree ID
Learn to identify three native tree species in the Old Forest.

Group Guidelines
- Group size: Up to 20 participants
-
Group structure: Participants are split into two groups
- Group A: 45-minute program
- Group B: Free play in the park or playground
- Groups switch after 45 minutes
- Chaperone requirement: One adult per 10 children
- Minimum participation: At least 5 participants per session
- Maximum activity size: 10 participants per group activity
