City Nature Challenge BioBlitz
April 25 @ 10:00 am – 11:30 am CDT
Join the City Nature Challenge, a worldwide movement to document wild nature and help fight biodiversity loss!
Conservancy staff will lead us on an exploratory BioBlitz in Overton Park, where every photo you upload to iNaturalist becomes a data point that helps scientists understand and protect wildlife. We’ll record wildlife such as plants, insects, fungi, reptiles, birds, and mammals.
Last year, our community contributed close to 2.7K observations! Together, we can build an even stronger picture of nature in Memphis. No experience with iNaturalist necessary – all ages welcome.
This program will be held on natural surface trails, limestone trails, and/or pavement surfaces. Accessible (paved) routes available.
Registration opens 2 weeks in advance.
