Your story…on the air at WYXR!

Ear to the Ground on WYXROverton Park Conservancy is teaming up with our community radio station WYXR on our Overton Park Stories program! Ear to the Ground host Nancy Morrow is putting together an episode focused on how Overton Park has impacted the lives of Memphians, and we want to hear YOUR story. Nancy will be capturing audio recordings on Thursday, May 26 from 4:00 – 6:00PM and Sunday, June 5 from noon to 2:00PM. Recording will be on second floor of Crosstown Concourse’s central atrium, in the mezzanine area south of the Memphis Listening Lab. We expect each recording to take around 15 minutes. Drop-ins are welcome, but pre-registering for a time is preferred. Contact Nancy at 901-828-3685 or greenmansionsmemphis@yahoo.com for any questions and to set up a time.

We welcome all recollections of the park, whether they’re about special people you associate with your time there, an event that made an impression on you, or how you’ve watched the park change over the years. We’re looking for a diversity of voices and experiences to paint a full picture of what Overton Park means to Memphis. We hope you’ll share your story and tune in to hear it on the air!
