It’s your dog’s moment to shine at A Day of Merrymaking
For the second year in a row, A Day of Merrymaking at Overton Park is presented by Hollywood Feed, longtime supporters who funded the creation and maintenance of Overton Bark. This year, they’ve got some extra-special activities planned for dogs, and we want you to participate!
In addition to cooling stations, giveaways, and photo opportunities for the pups, Hollywood Feed will be presenting a Halloween Spooktacular onstage from 12:0o to 12:30. First up, a dog fashion show will feature adoptable dogs from Streetdog Foundation sporting costumes available for sale at Hollywood Feed. This will give you a chance to check out the latest looks for your dog’s Halloween costume.
If your pup already has a costume, this is your chance to go onstage! At about 12:15, Hollywood Feed will begin its canine costume contest. Anyone who’d like to participate must sign up at the Hollywood Feed tent by noon. The contest will be judged by staff from Streetdog Foundation, and there will be prizes for first, second, and third place donated by Hollywood Feed. Deck your dog out and show off your creativity!
Hollywood Feed will also have photo backdrops near the stage, and Streetdog Foundation will have a dress-up photo booth and dog-themed treats at their tent.
A Day of Merrymaking is next Saturday, October 6 from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM on the Greensward. Invite your friends!
