Homeschool Day – Women Artists
March 12 @ 10:00 am – 1:00 pm CDT
Celebrate Women’s History Month at your art museum with a creativity-filled Homeschool Day inspired by women artists who push the boundaries of color and feeling. Students will explore abstract watercolor techniques influenced by the work of Memphis-based artists Kong Wee Pang and Amy Hutcheson. Using a special emotional response guide, young artists will discover how color, shape, and line can express feelings—and then bring those ideas to life in a vibrant watercolor composition.
Homeschool Days at your art museum always include drop-in artmaking from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., docent-led tours at 10:30 a.m. and 1:15 p.m., and interactive gallery activities for all ages—all designed to make learning through art fun, meaningful, and accessible for homeschool families.
All materials are provided. Perfect for learners of all ages!
