City Nature Challenge: Identification Party

Do you like spending time outside and getting to know the wild plants, fungi, and animals around you? Do you drive your friends nuts telling them what everything is? Is iNaturalist on the first page of your phone homescreen? We need your help!
Shelby County is once again participating in the City Nature Challenge between April 24 and 27. During this international urban BioBlitz, community members all over the world will upload documentation of local wildlife on iNaturalist. Any iNat observations within Shelby County during those days will be counted towards our Memphis-Shelby County project.
We need amateurs and professionals to help identify our local wildlife on the platform after those four days of intensive recording: last year we had nearly 2.7K observations!
Join us at Overton Park for an ID party! We’ll bring the pizza, you bring the knowledge (and smartphone or laptop).
