Eat, drink, and make merry

These reusable water bottles are FREE while they last. Visit the Overton Park Conservancy booth for yours!

It wouldn’t be A Day of Merrymaking without plenty of delicious treats to choose from. This year, we’ve got everything from beignets to tacos to barbecue, and you can top it off with a popsicle or a beer (depending on your age and interests!).

For the second year in a row, we’re working toward a lower-waste event, with free reusable water bottles available at the Overton Park Conservancy booth. There will be three water stations set up on the Greensward, so you can refill all day without generating any trash. Plus, recycling bins will be available near trash receptacles so you can separate waste when you’re finished with your lunch. Our low-waste efforts are generously sponsored by TVA, and supported on the ground by our partners at Clean Memphis and Get Green Recycleworks. Additional support for low-waste efforts comes from the Memphis branch of Dumpsters.com.

The beer garden also returns, once again sponsored by Overton Park Conservancy’s landscaping contractors Echo Systems and featuring beer donated by Memphis Made Brewing Company. Your $10 entry fee into the beer garden gets you two beers, with $5 for each additional beer. All the proceeds will benefit Overton Park Conservancy.

Here are the food vendors set for the festival:
