Copperhead Snakes: Nature’s Surprising Survivors
Have you ever felt a jolt of surprise at the sight of a snake slithering by? While an unexpected encounter can certainly catch you off guard, these intriguing creatures, especially copperhead snakes, symbolize resilience in the face of change. Much like the birds and the bees, they are essential members of our ecosystem. Their remarkable ability to adapt in human-disturbed habitats highlights their flexibility and cyptic nature.
Registration will open on this page one week before the program.
Trek surfaces may include paved road, limestone gravel trail, and Old Forest natural trails with uneven surfaces.

Overton Park Conservancy is the nonprofit organization that has been caring for Memphis’s central green space since 2012. With the generous support of our community, we work each day to make the park a beautiful and welcoming place for all Memphians, as well as a valuable source of urban habitat for wildlife.
The Conservancy must raise roughly 85% of our budget each year from people like you who care about the many things Overton Park has to offer. A gift of any amount helps us maintain and improve the park.
