For High School Juniors and Seniors
In this hands-on workshop, high school juniors and seniors will learn how to effectively document their artwork for submission without the need for professional equipment. This class focuses on practical techniques for shooting photos of your art using everyday tools like smartphones and basic lighting. Please plan to bring 3-5 peices of art to photograph and a smartphone.
Students will explore the essentials of setting up their artwork for photography, including tips on how to achieve the best angles, proper lighting, and simple shooting techniques. The workshop will also cover basic scanning or photographing methods, how to use smartphone apps for cropping and color correction, and how to save and optimize images for submission. Whether you’re submitting your art for a portfolio, contest, or class project, this workshop will give you the skills you need to present your work clearly and professionally.
