Winter is here, and Overton Park is prepared! While we always root for snowy sled weather, it`s looking like we may wind up with slick surfaces instead. Know before you go: the park will be open, but restrooms may be closed depending on the status of water lines. We`ve activated heaters and heat tape to prevent freezing; however, please notify us at 901-214-5450 or info @ overtonpark.org if you encounter any burst water lines so we can contact the City plumbers.

If you have bird feeders, make sure they`re well-stocked, and if you can put out some warm water for the birds this week, they`ll appreciate it very much! ...

🌿 Who`s ready for a Weed Wrangle? 🌿 Every Saturday this January and February, join volunteer leader Bill Bullock and his team of invasive plant removal experts to help improve the ecological health of Overton Park`s Old Forest. We`ll meet at East Parkway Pavilion from 1:00 to 3:00 PM, learn which non-native plants are outcompeting our native species, and work together to remove them.
