City Nature Challenge: Hike at Meeman-Shelby Forest State Park
April 26 @ 8:00 am – 10:00 am CDT
Join us for this year’s City Nature Challenge! This event is an international BioBlitz, which means the goal is to identify as many species of living organisms as possible! Ranger Decoda Muller, an identification enthusiast, will be leading this hike. We will be working in conjunction with other programming and education entities around Shelby County.
We will keep track of our identifications using the iNaturalist app on our phones and computers. If you missed the previously held iNaturalist App Orientation and would like a short demonstration, contact Ranger Decoda and he’ll get you in shortly before the hike.
Make sure to bring your phones for pictures and sounds, water, and weather-appropriate clothing. Photographers, feel free to bring your cameras and laptops! There will be an opportunity to connect to the Nature Center internet and upload those photos after the hike is finished!
