Super Saturday – Indigenous Heritage Month
November 8 @ 10:00 am – 12:00 pm CST
November is Indigenous Heritage Month and we’re celebrating by learning about artists like Dyani White Hawk. This artist is known for using geometric shapes and abstraction in their art. Create your own piece of abstract art and learn about the importance of weaving and symbolism in Lakota heritage. Super Saturday takes place every week during the Memphis Brooks Museum of Art free hours from 10a-12p. Guests can enjoy drop in art making and curated gallery guides to give them a closer look at the art on view. All ages are welcome! Materials for art making are limited. Please register in advance.
