Built as a place for Memphians to maintain their physical and spiritual health, Overton Park quickly evolved into a cultural destination. It became a place that people went to the Supreme Court to protect, a place where old-growth forest is legally protected, and a place that welcomes more than 1.3 million visitors every year.
