Happy Giving Tuesday!
‘Tis the season to give thanks…and to simply give! At Overton Park Conservancy, we know that we wouldn’t exist if not for the generous spirit of the Memphis community. You have embraced this park, and the effort to enhance it, in a way that’s truly inspiring. We’re thankful for you every day.
To celebrate Giving Tuesday, we’ve got four great options for you to show the park a little love. Even better, you can check some items off your shopping list AND your holiday card list!
1. Honor a Loved One with a Paver at the Bicycle Plaza
As our crews make headway each day on the bicycle and pedestrian plaza at East Parkway, our deadline for ordering personalized pavers is down to a few days. Currently, 82 of the 129 available pavers have been sponsored. If you’d like to show someone you care this holiday season, consider paying tribute to them in a permanent way at the new plaza. Pavers are only $250 and can include any message you like. But hurry–if you want to see your paver at the plaza when it opens later this winter, you must get your order in now!

2. Let Us Take Care of Your Holiday Card List
You want to spread some holiday cheer, but that list is just so overwhelming on top of everything else. Why not let us handle it? For each $10 donation that you make using our holiday card form, we’ll send a card to one person on your list. You can just upload your list directly to us, and we’ll send everyone a special card acknowledging your gift. This year’s card is a beautiful snowy scene from Overton Park.

(Our form accepts gifts in multiples of five. If you have, say, 16 people on your list, choose “15” from the dropdown menu and add $10 to the “additional donation” field in the middle of the form.)
3. Give a Gift Membership to Overton Park
Do you have a friend who loves the park, but isn’t yet a member? Give them the gift of Overton park swag! We’ll be introducing new t-shirts in January, so this month is your last chance to get the 2013 shirts in your membership package. Choose from multiple membership levels. We’ll take care of all the mailing and gift acknowledgment.

Need a membership for yourself? You can find those here.
4. Make a Donation to Overton Park Conservancy
This year has been a big one for the park–we re-opened Rainbow Lake Playground, got the bike plaza project started, added restrooms to the East Parkway picnic area, and much more. Next year, we’ll be working to enhance accessibility to the park, including asking for your input on redesigning some of the park entrances. Although we’ve made so much progress in beautifying the park over the past two years, there is still so much work to be done! Your financial support makes it possible to dream big and treat Overton Park like the treasure that it is.
