COVID-19 update
As our city responds to the evolving COVID-19 situation, we wanted to reach out and let you know the precautions Overton Park Conservancy is taking to keep our visitors safe. The city’s parks and public spaces remain open, including cultural attractions like the Memphis Zoo and the Brooks Museum. Some events (like tomorrow’s Chalkfest) will be cancelled, and we’ll update our calendar at overtonpark.org/events as we get new information.
Overton Park Conservancy employs a crew that cleans and disinfects the park at least once per day, and more frequently during busy seasons. Their procedures are compliant with the CDC’s guidelines, and they have increased the frequency of cleaning of gate handles and water fountains. Remember, if you see something that needs attention in the park, you can contact us at [email protected] or call 901-214-5450. We ask anyone visiting the park to be just as vigilant about hand-washing, covering coughs and sneezes, and staying home when you’re sick as you would when visiting indoor spaces.
