16th Century: High Renaissance Italy & The Art of Reformation Europe

Join us for our ninth art history lecture taught by Professor Rebecca Howard.

Lesson description: This lecture will consider the artistic height of Renaissance Italy, discussing the works of artists like Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Raphael, and Titian. We will also explore the art resulting from the major schism in the Catholic Church that led to Protestantism. Artists of this age of reformation also include Albrecht Dürer, Lucas Cranach, and Hans Holbein.

Lectures will be taught in the education studio at the Brooks Museum of Art. Limited seating available with tickets for $20 or free for our Brooks Docents. More information on becoming a docent is availabe here.
