901LoveYourPark Campaign

Pitch In! Help Keep Our Park Clean!

Overton Park Conservancy is teaming up with our good friends at Clean Memphis and Memphis Transformed to bring you a fun and impactful challenge to help keep our park clean! Plus, you can win prizes!

Using Litterati to document litter pickup on the GreenswardWe have set a goal to remove 1,000 pieces from Overton Park over the next couple of months and we’re using a new app – Litterati – to help us reverse the trend of litter. Litterati enables us to capture more litter pollution data, create better prevention strategies, and track your impact. We need 20 people who are willing to pick up 50 pieces of litter between now and Sunday, November 13th while documenting the litter in the app. We’re giving away prizes to the top 5 volunteers who accept this challenge. And we’re talking great prizes like gift cards to local restaurants, 901 swag from We Are Memphis, and a litter pickup toolkit to help you keep up the good work!

How to join the challenge…

  1. Sign up here
  2. Download the Litterati app
    1. iOS
    2. Android
  3. Follow the prompts in the app and add your name and email address (this allows us to identify you on the Litterati leaderboard)
  4. Under Challenges in the Litterati app, use the code OPCLOVE to join our challenge
  5. Watch the tutorial videos below and get started today!

Pro Tips:

Litterati uses a camera within the app to document the litter as you pick it up. It’s easier to use a buddy system when using the app – one person picks up the litter and the other documents it in the app.

How to win prizes…
Each participant must pick up at least 50 pieces of litter in order to be eligible to win. Keep track of your progress and other participants by monitoring the leaderboard in Litterati. We will email the winners Monday, November 14th.
