Black Artists in Context Lecture and Teacher Workshop

Lecture is free and open to the public.

Following the conversation, we invite educators to join us for a teacher workshop from 2-4.

Through an exploration of Tanner’s The Thankful Poor and other works by Black artists, participants will consider the ways that artists represent and shift narratives around their communities. Teachers will leave with ideas and tools for ways to integrate artmaking into their classroom lessons.
