SUMMARY:Orion Financial Free Concert Series: High Fade
DESCRIPTION:Funk/Rock trio High Fade – consisting of founder Harry Valentino (Guitar\, Vocals)\, Oliver Sentence (Bass\, Mustache) and drummer Heath Campbell (Drums) has grown from Scotland’s most excited busking band into a household name across the world after bursting onto the scene with viral sensations such as “Burnt Toast & Coffee”\, “Gossip”\, “Burnin’”\, and an audacious cover of Herbie Hancock’s “Chameleon”. Sold out tours across the UK\, USA\, and Europe have seen the band get well over 1\,500 shows under their belt\, allowing High Fade to fast become one of the most ferocious touring bands on the planet. Delivering shows that are packed with raw energy and jaw-dropping musicianship\, thye refuse to accept the limits of what a three-piece band can do.  \n\n\n\nWith sold out tours across the UK\, USA\, and Europe; and impactful slots at dozens of festivals like Boomtown (UK)\, Suwannee Hulaween (USA) and Glastonbury – where they performed three times in one day in 2024 – High Fade have come a long way from that street corner in Edinburgh. Drawing inspiration from funk\, rock\, disco\, jazz\, metal\, punk\, soul\, and beyond\, High Fade has developed a sound that explodes out of a rip-roaring melting point of musical influences and tears at the fabric of space time by managing to feel simultaneously fresh and retro. Firecly independent\, the band releases music via their own label RPN Records (“Rippin’ Records”)\, including their debut album\, Life’s Too Fast (2024)\, which charted in the UK\, Ireland\, Germany\, the Netherlands\, USA\, and Australia. Not bad for an independent DIY band operating entirely outside of the Major Label system. High Fade’s sophomore LP\, Twice As Nice\, due for release on RPN Records May 2026\, was recorded at two of the world’s most renowned studios\, East Iris Studios in Nashville and RAK Studios in London. The hotly anticipated new album arrives just in time for the band’s massive 50-date Twice As Nice tour that will bring the band to all corners of the USA and Canada this Spring and Summer.

SUMMARY:Orion Financial Free Concert Series: Jake Shimabukuro
DESCRIPTION:Jake Shimabukuro is a world-renowned ukulele virtuoso whose groundbreaking artistry has redefined the instrument for the 21st century. Hailed as the “Jimi Hendrix of the ukulele\,” Shimabukuro has captivated audiences across the globe with his masterful technique\, innovative spirit\, and deeply expressive performances that seamlessly blend elements of jazz\, rock\, classical\, blues\, folk\, and traditional Hawaiian music. \n\n\n\nBorn and raised in Honolulu\, Hawai‘i\, Jake began playing the ukulele at age four\, quickly developing a unique style that pushed the instrument far beyond its traditional boundaries. He first gained international recognition after his jaw-dropping rendition of George Harrison’s “While My Guitar Gently Weeps” went viral\, introducing millions to the ukulele’s untapped potential. \n\n\n\nOver the course of his career\, Shimabukuro has released numerous acclaimed albums\, collaborated with an array of legendary artists—including Bette Midler\, Yo-Yo Ma\, Jimmy Buffett\, Ziggy Marley\, and Mick Fleetwood—and performed everywhere from the Sydney Opera House to the Hollywood Bowl and the Kennedy Center. SUMMARY:Orion Financial Free Concert Series: East Nash Grass
DESCRIPTION:East Nash Grass is one of the hottest young bands in Bluegrass\, picking up this year’s International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) award for Best New Artist and stacked with IBMA Best Instrumentalist winners: Grand Master Fiddle champion and AMA Instrumentalist of the year nominee Maddie Denton\, Cory Walker (banjo)\, and Harry Clark (mandolin). Put them alongside charismatic frontman James Kee and bassist Jeff Partin (Rhonda Vincent\, etc.) and you’ve got a powerhouse leader of the next generation in bluegrass excellence.  \n\n\n\nWSLR in Fogartyville calls them “a balance of undeniably hard-driving bluegrass alongside surprisingly introspective songwriting and earnest narration.”  \n\n\n\nThey are far more than a group of impressive instrumental technicians. As a group that came together organically via set after set on Nashville’s East Side\, playing tiny stages for the love of it between tours backing bigger acts\, they have a hard-forged bond that’s reflected in their stage chemistry. Audiences freak out over how much fun these guys have.  \n\n\n\nAs they work on the follow up to 2023’s “Last Chance To Win” — look for a release in the spring of 2025 — they now find themselves one of the most in-demand groups in Americana\, fanning out well beyond the traditional bluegrass spots.

SUMMARY:Orion Financial Free Concert Series: Billy Allen & The Pollies
DESCRIPTION:There is a ferocious Southern engine inside of Billy Allen + The Pollies’ debut album Black Noise. It thrums to life atop a classic rock chassis and expertly weaves in and out of gospel\, grunge\, funk\, and soul along its eleven-song journey. From the explosive top of the album (a liberating anthem of self-worth called “All of Me”) to the spiritually haunting final track (the wurlitzer fueled “Go on Without Them”) Black Noise is a genre-defiant haymaker that lands. \n\n\n\nThe band is a hybrid of four piece rock outfit The Pollies and fellow Alabamian\, and frontman\, Billy Allen. The story of what fused Allen and The Pollies is one that begins in a bar 8 years ago. This particular bar was on Allen’s gig circuit and it just so happens to be where Jay Burgess (founder of The Pollies) was having a drink that evening. While there was intrigue and potential in that first chance meeting\, the two would remain ships in the night\, each building their own careers\, until years later when the stars would align at FAME studios in Muscle Shoals. As the story goes\, both Allen and The Pollies\, who were all occasional session musicians at Fame\, were finally in the room together and the track on deck was Little Richard’s “Greenwood\, MS”. To hear Allen retell this part of the story is to hear a man talk about the beginnings of a priceless friendship. “There was an immediate romantic musical connection\,” Allen said. “This is my band.” To hear Burgess tell it\, the feeling was mutual. Over the subsequent year\, the two groups rehearsed\, toured\, wrote\, and gelled together under the moniker Billy Allen + The Pollies. The joining of Billy and Jay (along with the other charter members of The Pollies: Spencer Duncan\, Jon Davis & Clint Chandler) was like the clicking of a dislocated bone back into true. \n\n\n\nNamed after a theoretical sound bomb with the power to destroy whole cities\, Black Noise was written almost entirely during the pandemic\, beginning as voice memos between Burgess and Allen. With the lockdown in full swing\, the musicians became each other’s micro-community\, and voice memos progressed to writing sessions in Jay’s garage\, and continued to full band rehearsals at Jay’s Greenhill\, Alabama\, sanctuary Studio 144. When the time to cut the record arrived\, they tapped long-time friend and Grammy winning musician Ben Tanner to produce and engineer. Tanner (co-owner of SingleLock Records and former Alabama Shakes keys player) brought the band to Sun Drop Sound in Florence where the bulk of the recording was done. The band was so deeply meshed that the album they captured between April and November of 2021\, other than a small overdub section\, was recorded fully live\, without a click\, and 3 takes or less per song. \n\n\n\nListening to Black Noise feels like walking on the alien terrain of a new genre. It sounds like garage grunge by way of Jackie Wilson. The very same kerchief Billy Allen uses to wipe sweat from his brow on stage could be carrying DNA from Wilson Pickett\, Joe Cocker\, D’Angelo\, Ziggy Stardust\, or any of the Spiders from Mars. Theirs is a gritty and trailblazing sound. They are a band full of smiling time travelers\, able to visit and draw from a multitude of eras and styles. Black Noise is an album that devastates you to the point of remembering why you love music. This is the type of band you root for. You can’t help it. They’re that damn good.

SUMMARY:Orion Financial Free Concert Series: Eddie 9V
DESCRIPTION:Eddie 9V has an endless stockpile of cool stories – and you’ll find twelve of them on his most recent studio album Saratoga\, released in November 2024 on the fabled Ruf Records label. A thrilling mix of Southern soul\, blues\, rock\, and funk\, Saratoga proved to be a gamechanger: a road trip-ready record filled with razor-sharp observations\, vintage textures\, and raw humanity. It also marked a major career milestone: Eddie 9V’s soulful sound began reaching hundreds of thousands of new fans across the globe.  \n\n\n\nNow signed to Easy Eye Sound — the Nashville-based label founded by Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys — Eddie 9V is preparing to release a brand-new album in 2026. And the momentum keeps growing. Since Saratoga dropped\, Eddie’s monthly listeners on Spotify have exploded from 8\,000 to peaking at over 800\,000.. Songs like “Halo\,” “Saratoga” and “Love Moves Slow” have become SiriusXM Spectrum-certified tracks\, gaining steady spins and major audience love.  \n\n\n\nBut this rise is years in the making. From the day he first slung a guitar on a local Georgia stage\, Eddie 9V (born Brooks Mason) has been an artist to watch. First cutting his teeth in cover bands and regional blues circuits\, he made the leap to full-time frontman with a name that couldn’t be ignored. “I wanted to start from scratch – and I ain’t never heard of no bluesman named Eddie 9V.”  \n\n\n\nThat leap paid off. His early albums Left My Soul In Memphis (2019) and Little Black Flies (2021) turned heads for their wild energy and vintage flair. 2022’s Capricorn was a breakout moment\, earning rave reviews from Classic Rock\, The Guardian\, and more. It debuted at #1 on the blues charts before being dethroned by Bonnie Raitt — “a cool story to be able to say\,” Eddie laughs.  \n\n\n\nBy the time Saratoga arrived\, Eddie 9V had evolved into a full-spectrum songwriter\, tapping into deep wells of soul and storytelling alongside his brother and longtime collaborator Lane Kelly. Much of the album was recorded at their Echo Deco Studio in Atlanta\, with some sessions at Denver’s Crown Lanes Studio. From the disco-tinged horns of the title track to the fuzzed-out dreamscape of “Delta\,” it’s a record that widened the lens without losing the grit.  \n\n\n\nNow with a major label partner\, national tours\, SiriusXM airplay\, and streaming growth that shows no signs of slowing\, Eddie 9V is poised for the next chapter. A new album is on the horizon. The band is sharper than ever. And if Saratoga was the ignition\, what’s coming next is the open highway.  \n\n\n\n“I’m already writing new songs\,” he says. “You never stop.”

SUMMARY:Orion Financial Free Concert Series: Sunset Symphony
DESCRIPTION:Memphis has a deep history with music\, including the Memphis Symphony Orchestra (MSO). From early years and through several wars\, there were iterations of a local symphony. However\, MSO was officially established in 1953 under the baton of the esteemed Vincent de Frank as the Memphis Sinfionetta. We have now grown into a full-scale nonprofit organization\, complete with staff\, volunteers and 36 core musicians.  \n\n\n\nToday\, as the Mid-South’s resident professional orchestra\, we employ 80+ musicians and arts professionals\, and present Masterworks\, Classic Accents and Pops subscription concerts\, as well as multiple special concerts a year. We are the largest performing arts institution in the Memphis region\, and the orchestra for a myriad of other arts organizations\, including Opera Memphis and Ballet Memphis.  \n\n\n\nJust as a symphony takes four movements to create a musical composition for a full orchestra\, we could not create MSO without the movement of our history\, musicians\, leadership and community. We are forever grateful to those who came before us and built MSO into the incredible organization it is today. Their work has continued to the present as we provide even more musicians and community members an opportunity to benefit from performances\, programming and outreach.

SUMMARY:Orion Financial Free Concert Series: Trouble No More (Allman Brothers Tribute Showcase)
DESCRIPTION:“TROUBLE NO MORE: A Memphis Tribute To The Allman Brothers” formed in 2017 to perform the immortal Southern rock & blues songs of the Allman Brothers Band. They have played venues & festivals in Memphis & around the Mid South & brought audiences the spirit & sound of the early Allman Brothers band with classics like “Whipping Post\, “Midnight Rider\,” & “Blue Sky.” \n\n\n\nTROUBLE NO MORE carries on the improvisational nature of the Allman Brothers as well as the signature blues rock sound. The band members are all deep fans of the music & are seasoned Memphis players.  \n\n\n\nLead vocalist David Brocato has a powerhouse voice that can resemble the husky\, blue-eyed soul sound of Gregg Allman.  \n\n\n\nGuitarist Robert Allen Parker has a bluesy playing style that is deeply influenced by Duane Allman & Dickey Betts. Parker has played with the likes of Rufus Thomas\, Hope Clayburn\, Earl “The Pearl” Banks\, Valerie June\, & Luther Dickinson.  \n\n\n\nGuitarist Seth Kuykendall has a powerful skill for replicating legendary guitar sounds. In TROUBLE NO MORE\, part of his guitar arsenal includes the iconic slide guitar licks of Duane Allman.  \n\n\n\nHarmonica player Damion “YellaP” Pearson got his start performing on historic Beale Street. He has shared the stage with Eric Gales\, the Bar-Kays\, & Anthony Hamilton. In TROUBLE NO MORE\, his soulful blues harp echoes the sounds of Thom “Ace” Doucette (who played w/ the Allman Brothers).  \n\n\n\nKeyboardist Michael Russell\, bassist Stephen Spear\, & drummer Walter Polk all began playing in Memphis bands during the 1960’s & they all attended the May 9th\, 1971\, Allman Brothers Band concert @ the Overton Park Shell. The May 9th\, 2026 TROUBLE NO MORE event will truly be a full circle moment for them.  \n\n\n\nMichael Russell has played keys with several artists over the years including Bluebyrd (w/ Jimi Jamison)\, Companion\, Ringo Starr\, the Memphis Horns\, & Bobby Keys.  \n\n\n\nBassist Stephen Spear has played stages with legendary Memphis band Moloch\, The Gentrys\, John Prine\, & Tony Joe White.  \n\n\n\nDrummer Walter Polk has performed & recorded with Jaguar\, Dr John\, Don Nix\, Larry Raspberry And The Highsteppers\, & Roy Harper. With TROUBLE NO MORE\, he is covering the work of two drummers; Jaimoe & Butch Trucks (the original Allman drummers).  \n\n\n\nOn May 9\, 1971\, the original Allman Brothers Band performed a legendary concert at the Overton Park Shell. \n\n\n\n55 years later to the day on May 9\, 2026\, as part of the Overton Park Shell’s 90th Anniversary Shell-ebration\, “TROUBLE NO MORE: A Memphis Tribute To The Allman Brothers” will perform a recreation of this epic show! \n\n\n\nThe exact set list will be played as well as adding an iconic song that the Allman Brothers would have performed if time allowed; police shut down the original event past quiet hours. The Allman Brothers Band historic lighting show will be recreated with the Shell’s lighting designer Michael Pannell & the help of “Infinity Stairs” (Graham Burks & Thomas Corbin) using the era-correct-old school oil & water psychedelic liquid light effects as seen in the late 69’s/early 70’s videos of the band at the Fillmore auditoriums\, East & West.
