DESCRIPTION:Dogs 2nd Chance is a local Mid-South dog rescue organization and a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charity. We are not a shelter and do not receive government funding. Our annual Mutt Strut 5K is our primary fundraiser\, and we rely on its proceeds to continue rescuing stray\, abandoned\, and abused dogs throughout the Mid-South. \n\n\n\nJoin us as we celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Mutt Strut 5K at Overton Park! In this one-day workshop\, students will learn foundational techniques in metalsmithing: sawing\, silver soldering\, forming\, and texturing to design and create a personal reliquary pendant. Together\, artist instructors and students will explore the creative potential of jewelry as something that can be both beautiful and meaningful.
