Art History 101: The Baroque Era: 17th-Century Art

This talk covers the expressionist styles of “Baroque” art in the Catholic regions of Southern Europe and in Protestant areas in Northern Europe. These styles will be situated with the historical contexts of seventeenth-century institutions, ranging from Christianity to colonialism.
